Spunk — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 11, 2025 | Last Updated: February 11, 2025
Introduction
Spunk ("we," "our," or "the App") is a TCPA Enforcer — a consumer rights documentation tool that helps users identify, document, and take action against unwanted robocalls and spam messages that may violate the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how we handle your information.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Call and message records you choose to log, including phone numbers, timestamps, and descriptions of suspected violations.
- Audio recordings you voluntarily import into the App from your device (e.g., call recordings from iOS Notes).
- Screenshots and images you capture or import as evidence of spam calls or messages.
- Notes and annotations you add to violation records.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device information such as device model and operating system version, used solely to ensure app compatibility.
- App usage data such as feature interactions and crash logs, used to improve the App's performance and stability.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not access your call history, contacts, or messages without your explicit action.
- We do not collect your location data.
- We do not use advertising identifiers or track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
How Your Data Is Stored
All data is stored locally on your device. Your violation records, evidence files, and case information are saved to your device's local storage and are not transmitted to any external server.
This means:
- You have full control over your data at all times.
- If you delete the App, your locally stored data will be removed from your device.
- No internet connection is required to use the App.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Help you document and organize potential TCPA violations.
- Generate evidence packages for legal review.
- Improve app performance and fix bugs.
Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties except:
- At your direction — when you choose to export an evidence package or share case details with an attorney.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access and control: All your data is stored on your device. You can view, edit, or delete any violation record or evidence at any time within the App.
- Delete your data: You can delete individual records or all data through the App's settings. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored within the App, including:
- Local storage encryption provided by your device's operating system.
- No transmission of data to external servers.
Children's Privacy
Spunk is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you already have full control over your information.
